Bifen granules

  how long will these granules remain active/effective once I put them in my lawn using a spreader? I am using the granules for ants.
A.

Bifen granules must be reapplied every 3-4 months prior to the initial application.

I used a permethrin only product that came with my cheap ulv backpack sprayer last year with great results(mosquito 86), ran out and went with something that was supposed to last longer with PBO (vector ban plus). It does not seem to be working like the other and looking for something to work well with my ulv which I use to spray all shrubs, bushes, low hanging branches and perimeter of house and any shady area that I think they could be resting at. Any suggestions about application or product would be appreciated. Walterboro S.C. <><
