Q.

i have termites in my ceiling from a recently replaced leaky roof. What is the best method of treatment. live in pa.

A.

It depends on the species of the termites. In PA, subterranean termites are common. You should look for signs like mud tubes and other wood damages. If not, it may be dampwood or drywood termites that does not need contact with the ground. We suggest that you get an inspection done before applying any termiticides. If you have subterranean termites, it is important that you do a ground treatment with a liquid termiticide or with termite bait stations. If you have damage in the wall void and the ceiling, it's best to use a foaming product like Premise Foam. For more information, please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-788-4142.
