New wood

  I recently purchased some rough lumber and noticed what appears to be active powder post beetles in portions of the wood. Can I cut away the parts that seem to be active and use the rest?
A.

You can use the portions of the wood that is not infested as long as you treat it with items such as Boracare. Boracare is very effective on bare wood against wood boring pests.

NO ONE CAN IDENTIFY WHAT IT IS, INFACT THEY DONT THINK THERE BUGS AT ALL. BUT THEY ARE IF YOU LOOK REAL GOOD WITH A MAGNIFY GLASS YOU CAN SEE THEM, THEY COME IN STAGES, THEY BARE HOLES IN HER BODY, WE HAVE EVEN TAKEN HER TO DOCTORS YES MANY DOCTORS AND NO ONE WILL HELP US. SHE IS DISABLED PLEASE SOMEONE NEEDS TO HELP US FIND SOMETHING TO SPRAY IN THE HOME TO GET RID OF THESE BUGS. WHAT CAN I BUY FOR YOU TO USE.
