Q.
The mouse poisons I used to get said the mice would go outside to die. I believe they were wafarin based. Is this true? I did not see dead mice, but they seemed to have disappeared. Now with the new poisons, I am finding dead mice in the house, and often they have died behind or under something and I find them by the terrible smell. Has wafarin been outlawed? I can't seem to find it.
A.Wafarin is an anti-coagulant that thins out the blood of the mice. It does not necessarily cause the mice to die outside of the house. Most of the poison nowadays dehydrate the mice so that they look for a water source before they die.
