Q.
American and German Roach infestation
We moved into a house that was built in 1967, in August 2012. When we first moved in we saw a few but killed them and did not see anymore for a while. Now you cannot open a cabinet, drawer, or door without 100 scattering. They are in our bathroom, Master bedroom and living room and of course the kitchen. Here lies the problem, I am allergic to some of the chemicals in most bug sprays, triggers my asthma. We have a cat in the home and during the winter we have 5 dogs in and out of the house(weather dependant. Can you please help because the are biting us during the night while we sleep? HELP????
A.Unfortunately, chemical means is the only way to get rid of an infestation this large. We don't even advise that you do treatment yourself. This will have to be done by a professional company and if the chemicals will trigger your asthma, then you will have to leave the home for a few days. Make the arrangements to have a professional attend to your house because an infestation of that degree can also cause health risks as well as trigger your asthma as well.
