Q.
roach control, apartment
I live in San Diego, CA in a 3-floor large apartment complex on the 3rd floor. I saw one large American cockroach 2 weeks ago by the screen door to my balcony, and my complex sprayed. Last week I found one small roach in a kitchen drawer (with no food), and today I found one in our bed. How do I control for roaches in our apartment? We take out our trash regularly and keep the kitchen clean, are there other preventative measures? We definitely have some cracks in our windows and around our air conditioner, should we seal those simply with caulk?
A.Roaches are attracted to food sources as well as water sources. It would be ideal to rid of all food and water sources so that you could rid of the roaches as well. Also, you can use items such as LambdaStar and Suspend SC to do a perimeter surface treatment around cracks, windows, etc. The products have a residual of about 2-3 months and will kill the roaches once they come into contact with the insecticide.
