Carpenter Ants are now ignoring both baits! Now what?

  I've successfully controlled what could have been a bad infestation inside the house by baiting outside using both the Advance granular and Max Force gel baits. I thought I hit the sweet spot in their diet because workers of all sized were gobbling up both baits. But I've noticed over the course of a week, while the number of ants on or near our tree has dwindled, the ants are now ignoring both baits. Do the ants learn these baits are bad for them?
