ticks in the home
I found 2 ticks in my room about 2 weeks ago. I was told to use permethrin sfr spray inside and out. I did with much luck. But last night and today I have found 2 more ticks. Is this the most effective chemical to use inside and outside of my home?
What you apply will really depend on where the infestation is. We usually recommend FenvaStar EcoCap, which is a liquid concentrate insecticide. It must be diluted in water before it is applied and the solution can be applied with a pump sprayer. FenvaStar EcoCap cannot be applied all over the furniture, but it can be applied on the frame of the furniture, in areas where you do not come in contact with frequently. You should also apply Archer IGR with the FenvaStar EcoCap, which is an insect growth regulator. An IGR does not have a killing effect, but for insects like ticks that reproduce quickly, it is recommended to use an IGR because it will inhibit them from developing physically, therefore, prohibiting them from reproducing. Archer IGR must also be diluted in water and applied with a pump sprayer.
