Directions for Bed Bug Killing Steamer & Cleaner Use
Please read the product manual for assembly, operation and maintenance instructions. The appliance must be assembled first before use. Use the equipment as directed in the user’s manual only.
The appliance must be fully assembled (includes hoses, nozzles, attachments, etc.) before operations. Make sure that the appliance is not connected to a power source when topping off the tank. If the appliance is recently used, relieve the tank of excess steam pressure by pressing the steam gun trigger. Carefully unscrew the tank cap by pressing it down and rotating it counterclockwise. Fill the tank with clean water using the supplied funnel and measuring jug. Do NOT overfill. Only use pure water (no additives such as alcohol, cleaning agents, perfume, etc.) It is recommended to use distilled (or boiled) water to increase appliance life. Replace the cap firmly and make sure that it is seated properly.
Connect the appliance to a power source and switch the appliance on. Once switched on, the appliance will automatically heat the water to reach the operating temperature. This usually takes 11 minutes. Once the red heating pilot light goes off, the appliance is ready for use.
Release the child-proof lock by pressing the yellow triangular pin on the steam gun. Aim the nozzle away from persons, animals, electrical and electronic devices. Pressing the trigger allows steam to escape from the gun. Begin cleaning using the appropriate tip accessory. Adjust the flow of steam by rotating the steam controller.

Q. i went to buy a steamer from another company but they told me I had to buy a specialized terry cloth.
What's the difference between their specialized terry cloth and the cloth that is included in this steamer?
A. Absolutely nothing. That is because there shouldn't be such a thing as a specialized terry cloth for the steamer. The cloth that is included with this Bed Bug Killing Steamer and Cleaner are pieces for the attachments, but really, any piece of terry cloth, old towel, or rag will work.

Q. How do I clean the steamer?
A. You should clean your steamer after every use. A simple mixture of 2 parts vinegar to 1 part water can be used to clean the steamer.

I noticed it says bed bug steamer and CLEANER. What is the cleaner part of this machine?

Q. Can it clean hardwood?
The flooring in my living room is hardwood and I'm scared that bed bugs can be hiding in the cracks or that even the eggs or babies are in there. Can I use this steamer on the floor or will it hurt my wood?
A. Yes, you can use the steamer on hardwood floor. Actually, the steamer can be used on a variety of floor surfaces including hardwood floors, tile, marble, ceramic tile, linoleum, and etc.

Q. Do I just use regular tap water or is there a special sanitizing water that I have to use?
A. Yes, regular tap water will work in the steamer. It is never recommended to use any type of additive to the water whether it is a chemical with a killing agent or a chemical that sanitizes. However, over time, tap water can leave behind mineral deposits that will build up and eventually cause the medicine to malfunction. It is the best to use distilled water.

Can I use any chemicals for the Bed Bug Killing Steamer & Cleaner rather than water? Does it increase its efficiency?
A. No, it may affect the water tank. It is not the chemicals that kill the bed bugs but it's the high temperature and pressure that the appliance produced. It does not affect its efficiency if using chemical instead of water.

Q. I would like to know what the restrictions are on the steamer...
Simply, I want to know what I canNOT clean with the steamer and cleaner.
A. This steamer provides very high temperatures and a strong pressure application. therefore, you should not use this steamer and cleaner on delicate materials like fine silk or velour.
Also, heat sensitive materials should not be cleaned or treated with the steamer. Such materials include thin plastics, exteriors of automobiles, and etc.
Moreover, since this machine will use water and steam to clean, follow all restrictions around electrical appliances.
Please refer to the manual for potential hazards and safety procedures.

dose this give u heat or dose it clean ur carpet

Q. will a steamer kill bed bugs
This product claims a temp of 285 degrees. Is that actual tip temp or boiler temp?
Also is this product considered a "wet steamer" or a "dry steamer"?
A. The heat at of the steamer is measured at the boiler and not the tip of the steam gun. This unit is considered a "dry steamer" or vapor steam cleaner.

how often i gotta refill the tank?
A. The Bed Bug Steamer and Cleaner holds 1.6 liters of water in the tank. Usually, if you are steaming with a steamer that has a water tank this large, you can steam for up to 1 hour before you have to refill the tank with water again.

Q. Doesn't get hot!
The steamer body gets hot but the steam itself doesn't seem to get hot enough! How long do i wait?
A. The manual does say that the heat up time is 11 minutes but it can take up to 15-20 minutes for the machine to complete heat up. Patience is the key to using a steamer. By waiting for the steamer to heat up completely, you can optimize the use and the temperature that the steamer will exude.

Q. Can I add a chemical in the water or any pesticide you recommend to use in the steamer?
A. NO you should not. As a matter of fact, we recommend only using water. There's a lot of safety or health hazards that can potentially harm you when you use chemicals to steam. Also, chemical additives can potentially ruin your machine and cause the steamer to break quickly.

Q. Can the flow rate be adjusted? I want to use for bed bugs but read with low flow there is less chance of scattering eggs. Also, is it dry steam and what temperature does it acheive at the target surface?
A. The flow rate can be adjusted on the steamer. It is not a dry steam and water is required to use this machine. The steamer will heat up to 285 degrees F.

Q. My steamer is defect!
It just squirts out water in the beginning and theres no steam. i think it might be broken!
A. Since the steamer is water based, it is almost definite that you will have water fall out during the initial usage of each steam treatment with the steamer. Keep a towel or a small bowl ready at the beginning of each use. Release the water and let the steamer heat up. With each pressure that is applied to the trigger, you will begin to notice less and less water. Continue to apply pressure on the trigger until the steamer is completed warmed up and steam releases from the steamer. If you have any technical questions, feel free to contact us by phone or email.
