I usually wear a large in women's sizes to an extra large top and the Medium fits well.

I ordered the medium and found it a little big in height and waist. I am 5’7.5†medium sized female. I decided to keep it as a back up and order the small. Glad I did because during a swarm call the small suits hood zipper broke. I noticed the metal casing is a weaker light weight metal and bends very easily. I tried to fix it but cannot get the zipper teeth to reconnect. Over all I like the suit as I am a beekeeper and do swarm collection but am allergic on the anaphylactic level, so all the protection from stings is there, but was a little bummed that the zipper let me down the 3rd time I went to use the suit.

Everything about this suit is great, and you can't beat the price, but I bought the largest they had and still find it a little bit short between the crotch and shoulders. Not so much that it's unusable, just enough to make it slightly uncomfortable. But it certainly gets the job done! Other than that, it's a good suit for the price! Haven't been stung yet!

Wow what a great purchase. Fantastic fit and well built.
I read a few reviews and seem to be confusion over the size. Here is the low down on what size to buy.
You usuual will wear something underneath like jeans and a shirt. So if yor a Medium buy a large. If your a large buy a XL.
You will feel very secure in this suit.

The gloves are soft leather so I can still articulate my fingers and perform semi detailed tasks without to much trouble (important for beekeeping). The suit arrived in just a few days. I like the suit but would have ordered the next size up as it seems a bit too short for my height. I had some trouble with the zipper on the hood but it is working fine now. All in all, a great product (no bee stings) for the price.

I recieved my bee suit and tried it on. Fits great. The test will be this fall to remove above ground Bald Hornet nests out of trees with low hanging branches. These hornets are big and nasty!

The bee suit protected me well, not a single sting, and I have a huge hive inside a storage chest in the yard! The suit runs small, I am 5' 7 and 1/2" tall, and barely fit a size large height-wise, width is ok. Wish the hat have more of a shape - it kept falling down and the plastic see-thru part is on my chin and I'm looking out the top portion of the hat. The opening of the glove is very narrow and I cannot fit the glove sleeve over the suit sleeve, ended up with the fingers on the glove palm.
Overall, it did the job and a good value for the price.

The suit arrived without any problems. It is nicely packed in its own bag together with gloves. The fit on me is a little awkward since I am a bit wide but it is no big deal since it fits right around my belly. It is made from heavy duty material so I don't think I should have a problem with bee stings. I will be putting it in test during my first upcoming colony removal in April. The gloves are nice and long and they are made of soft leather. It is over all really good purchase considering the quality and price.

My suite just came in yesterday; I had worked with it once. I am more than satisfied about it. It protected me quite well as I had no bee stings at all. The hood gives better view and the suite allows better movement. These are really cool features.

Q. Do I really need a bee suit? When would I use it?
A. The primary defense mechanism that is displayed by bees and other stinging insects like wasps and hornets is to utilize their stingers. If they are threatened or handled aggressively, they will sting you. Stings by bees, wasps, hornets, and etc. are very painful. The venom that is transmitted into your body from the stings may cause severe allergic reactions and intense swelling and pain. If many bees attack at once, it can be extremely dangerous and potentially fatal. Therefore, when you are treating for bees or handling them in any way, you must wear protective gear. This Complete Bee Suit provides protection against stings and the defense mechanisms of the bees.

Q. The suit pictured on your website looks like it doesn't have sleeves. Does it have sleeves?
A. Yes. The sleeves on this suit are long and the wrists as well as the ankles are all rubber banded to eliminate a space that bees can crawl in from. This suit also comes with a self supporting veil and gloves.

Q. How do I clean the suit?
A. You should be washing the suit after every use. Keep in mind that bleach should not be used because the bees detest the smell of bleach that is left behind with the wash. However, the suit is study enough for regular cleaning in the washer and dryer. Hand wash the veil and the gloves with soap and water.

Q. small bee suit
Are the measurements for this size correct? I was interested in these but even the small and medium are gigantic! I am a women that is 5'6" or so and about 145 pounds, these are all for someone over 6' in the description.
A. All the measurements are taken when the suit is laid out flat. The small size is probably the best size for you.

Good morning on your be suit the section that includes has a line that I just need some clearication on
Attached Zipper Veil (must get a zipper attached veil or bees will get in)
what does the must get a zipper attached veil mean, does this suit come with a zippered veil or is that something I have to purchase seperate. Thanks
A. We are simply stating that other veils that are not zippered can potentially provide an opening for bees to get inside the suit. Our suit, however, is a zippered veil with a velcro, which means that there will not be any openings that bees can enter the suit.

Q. I want to share the veil part of the bee suit.
Actually, I already own a Tyvek suit and my brother, who works with me, wants a bee suit for himself. So I thought we can buy a bee suit and just share the veil. Will that work?
A. Technically, since the veil is not attached to the suit itself and is collapsible, you can share the veil. However, we don't really recommend a Tyvek suit while working with bees because it is made of a very thin fabric that will not provide optimal protection against stinging insects. Moreover, the wrist and ankle parts of the Tyvek suits are not made with elastic. This means that you are prone to a potential situation where the bees can crawl inside the sleeves or the suit legs. We always recommend a thick coverall that is made with a light-colored fabric to wear over your clothes. Something like this bee suit will provide the best protection against bees and other stinging or biting insects.

Q. Big Size Bee Suit.
What size will be best? I prefer things a little big, not tight fit if you know what i mean. Im 6'5-6'6 tall, waist size is 38-40.what size would be good for me? XL or XXL. Im more taller than wider, meaning i buy most of my stuff in long or tall vs going XXL or XXXL. So I normally but XLT or XLL stuff.

A. The bee keeper suit does not include a "helmet" but it is a full veil that completely covers the head. It's self-supporting and it is also collapsible when being folded back for storage.

Q. I want to buy a bee suit as well as products to get rid of ground bees in my front yard.
My neighbor told me to buy Delta Dust but I figured I can just use something like your Wasp Freeze? I'm just a home owner, so I dont know what the best product is.
A. Yes, you will definitely need a bee suit. Also, during treatment, you must make sure that other animals (pets), children, and unprotected adults are not in the area. You can use Wasp Freeze to kill the ground bees. However, keep in mind that many wasp and hornet sprays are really only effective when it is wet. This means it will provide an instant knockdown kill but will not leave a lasting residual. Most people don't like to spray every time they see a bee or a wasp as it can get tedious and very frustrating. Therefore, you can use the Wasp Freeze to "clean out" the nest and kill the bees on contact and then apply Delta Dust in the nest for the bees that did not leave the nest during the spray treatment. This will give you optimal control.

HI I wanted to know if my husband measures about 5'9 or 5'10 what size do we buy for him?
He's (38 inches) in weight size.
A. We do recommend the XL size. Since he will be wearing his regular clothes underneath the suit, we always recommend 1 size above what he would usually wear.

Q. what is the difference between the professional grade bee suit complete and the professional grade bee suit? Does the helmet make that big of a difference?
A. The Professional Grade Bee Suit Complete is 100% cotton and the Professional Grade Bee Suit is 50% cotton, 50% polyester. The reason why the Complete is significantly lower in price is because we receive them directly from the manufacturing company and not a separate vendor.

A. Unfortunately the bee suits come packaged together in one size so we are unable to mix sizes for you. However the gloves are all very similar in size so there shouldn't be a very significant difference between the X large and large gloves.

Q. can you tell me more info about the self supporting callapsible veil? is it attached to the suit with a zipper or how does it work?
A. The entire headpiece is attached to the suit by a two way neck zipper. Since that headpiece can be detached from the suit and made of a cotton material, it will collapse. It is self supporting because the top of the headpiece is made with wires that are built in to hold the headpiece up.

The size measurements seem extreme for a "large." Height 6'5", waist 44" and leg only 33". I normally wear a large and I the only measurement that comes close is the leg measurement. Please clarify.
A. Thank you for contacting us with your question. The measurement is actually the measurements for when the suit is laid out flat on to a surface. Large will fit about height of 5'10 weight (178lb-190lb)

Q. Before i buy a suit, i just want to know what the bee suit includes...?
A. The suit itself is made of a thick, cream colored, heavy-duty cotton that is thick enough to protect against bees. This suit also features an elastic waist that makes the suit comfortable but also tight-fitted. You will also find that suit features two chest pockets that are closed with velcro and a self-supporting, collapsible veil. The heavy duty zippers that this suit includes are around the neck, chest, and ankles. This suit also comes with leather gloves for optimal protection.

Q. Professional Grade Bee Suit
HI I wanted to know if my husband measures about 5'9 or 5'10 what size do we buy for him?
A. Several different suits will fit a person who is 5'9"-5'10" and so we do need the waist size so that we may better assist you.

A. We ship out via USPS or UPS. For the beekeeper suit, it will most likely be sent out through USPS.

Will this Bee suit be adequate for yellow jackets too?
A. This bee suit is designed to withstand all kinds of insect stings. However, we still advise that you handle bees when they are relatively calm and with an instant knockdown pesticide if you are trying to kill them.
