Heat vs. Bed Bugs

Friday, 24. February 2012 10:16

Our topic for today is the role of heat in the complicated and challenging process of treating a house full of equipments which are infested with bed bugs.

Studies show that the heat is one of the top enemies of bed bugs. These house pests cannot withstand an extremely hot temperature. Based on research, if you subject an area (with a possible bed bug infestation), to a temperature of 113 degrees Fahrenheit for at least an hour, then you can be assured that all bed bugs in all their stages will be killed. Pesky Fleas!!

Friday, 3. February 2012 10:12

There is a reason why fleas are real troublesome pests despite their size. Because they cannot be seen easily and are real quick to hop and hide around, they can easily bite, multiply, and infest inside your home. Eventually, you’ll feel truly uncomfortable inside your own space.

A dog owner did once complain about the fleas that kept on attacking and infesting his place. He says he cleaned the house basement to the point that he already kept all of his dogs outside his house and did not allow them to linger inside.  But then, whenever visitors came to visit the basement, fleas would cling on them and the house will once more be full of fleas.  He thinks maybe using a growth regulator would do him good to get rid of those fleas. But then, is it a solution?

     Getting Rid of Bed Bugs

Bed bug treatment requires much inspection and consistency of chemical treatment.

Using one of our bed bug kits would be a great way to approach the start of the infestation.

Different chemicals are designed to be used in different areas for different purposes with different residual times.

Therefore by statistics it seems that many people who purchase bed bug kits result in a thorough chemical treatment with higher success rates of elimination. After chemical treatment you should follow up with a monitoring plan with something like the Eco Keeper Bed Bug Monitoring Trap to ensure that you are rid of them after the chemical treatment.

You will most likely have to do about 3-4 treatments before you begin to see drastic results of decrease in their numbers. If you are lucky you may be able to get totally rid of them after those 3-4 treatments.

Again, a monitoring plan is a must! For instant remedy against their irritating attacks during the night, the Eco Keeper Bed Bug Tent has been, and still is one of the highest demanding bed bug products on the market. The tiny no see um mesh will keep the bed bugs from entering the inside structure of the tent in any of their stages (egg, nymph, adult).
