When I first bought the bought the product I was skeptic. But this turned out to be highly effective on Subterranean Termites, Formosan Termites, Drywood Termites, Dampwood Termites, Carpenter Ants, Powderpost Beetles, Anobiid Beetles, Old House Borers, Longhorn Beetles, Ambrosia Beetles, Fungi, Algae, Brown Rot, White Rot and Wood Decay and everything else !!! But it is not a soil termiticide so you can’t apply it as such. I am using this for two years now. And I am highly happy with it. I love this and will continue using it if I ever face any insect problem in future.

My problem was not very prominent at first. But without attention the termites spread. I had to handle them quickly. And I used Boracare termiticide. It worked pretty well.

Boracare Terimiticide worked for me very well. I have been having some serious troubles with termites in my garden trees. They were hampering the growth of my lovely trees. I did not know what to do. I found a solution by consulting some pest control professionals. It was Boracare they said, and it really worked.

My colleague recommended this Bora care termiticide to me when I told him about the insect problem at my place. He said that this product provides the longest residual protections against wood boring insects and fungi and the protection remains active for up to 12 years. So I decided to give it a try. I bought a gallon of Bora Care termiticide for less than $78. When I applied it around my place, after some days I couldn’t find any termites or any other insects anymore. This is highly recommendable.

I bought Bora-Care for a few trees that have been infested with carpet beetles. After I saw such beautiful transformation and healing, I went ahead and applied Bora-Care to my other trees and lumber for possible future danger/infestations.

Q. Boracare vs. Copper Green
HI , I was told that Boracare has the same termite prevention effect as Copper Green stuff...... Could you tell me the difference between the 2? I bought some Boracare before and am thininking of buying some Boracare for my fence and deck. Thank you
A.   The active ingredients in the Boracare is different than the Copper Green. Boracare is more chemically advanced, infused with a high concentration of active ingredients for effective treatment. Boracare prevents and treats the already existing termites. It is a highly recommended product that can be used onto unfinished wood surfaces.

Q. Bora-care treatment
Our log house is painted, will this be affective on the bugs thru the paint? Also, the house needs to be painted again, should we spray bora-care before painting or after? Thank you for your response.
A.   Boracare can only penetrate through the wood if the surface is unfinished. When applied to a painted surface, Boracare will only act as a surface treatment. The most recommended method is to remove the old paint from the surface, apply Boracare, then repaint the surface.

Q. Does this bottle has factory seal under the lid?
Does this bottle has factory seal under the lid? Also do you sell a mixer or suggest what needed to mix water with boracare?
A.   Boracare does not have a factory seal under the lid. We do not sell mixer to go with Boracare. You mix Boracare with water. Depending on the target pest, the dilution rate will be different. For termites it will be 1:1. For wood boring beetles like powderpost beetles, you can mix it 1:3 we mean 1 Boracare and 3 Water or 1 Boracare and 1 Water. Boracare states that the residual is lifetime. It should last at least 8-10 years.

Q. BoraCare
How much Bora Care would I need for approximately 1000 square feet of crawl space in an area?
A.   More than the square feet, the amount of Bora Care you need depends on the size of the wood along with the linear feet of the area you are treating . One gallon of Bora Care diluted to one gallon of water will usually cover 1000 square feet for a 2x4 sized wood. If you are treating larger sizes such as 2x8 sized wood, it would cover approximately 800 square feet.

Q. I'm interested in purchasing the Boracare termiticide product from your site.
I'm interested in purchasing the Boracare termiticide product from your site. I see signs of termite activity on my balcony (outside) Can I also use this product inside the home, inside of walls behind Sheetrock or do you recommend another product (foam) for inside walls? I will be opening up a wall in my daughter's room in a few weeks & the wood will be exposed & wanted to know if I can use Boracare to treat wood before closing it up. Her bed room is right next to the outside balcony. Thanks
A.   Yes, you may use boracare to treat indoors. When using boracare it is recommended that you apply it to unfinished wood surfaces which allow the boracare to penetrate deeply into the wood. Applying the boracare to finished surfaces will only keep the boracare termiticide/insecticide on the surface on the finishing on the wood. When treating already finished wood drilling holes and injecting the termiticide may be necessary. Whether you decide to foam or just spray does not make a great difference but foaming seems most effective in the aspect that it takes up three dimensional spaces within the wall void area. If you decide to use foam, then you will need to purchase separately a foaming concentrate as well as a foaming machine. Good Luck!

Q. What is the difference between Bora Care and Timbor?
A.   Although both of these products are borate products, safe, and odorless, Timbor is used more to protect new wood or wood that has yet to be infested rather than to treat infestations because it comes in a wettable powder form. This makes it so that it only penetrates the outer layer of the wood for surface fungi and infestation protection. If you already have an infestation in the wood or are looking to treat exterior wood, we would recommend that you use Bora Care because it has a longer residual time than Timbor.

Q. Is Boracare Termiticide really safe for wood?
A.   Of course! Boracare is a concentrated solution of sodium borate with additives that facilitate rapid penetration of woods, regardless of moisture content. Boracare is a low-toxicity pesticide registered with the EPA that penetrates and protects all types of woods. Boracare deposits its active ingredient into the wood, which does not decompose or vaporize like many other pesticides.
