Directions for Bora-Care with Mold-Care Use
Bora-Care and Mold-Care are concentrates that must be diluted with clean water before use. Mix one pint of Mold-Care per gallon of Bora-Care and dilute the concentrate in 5 gallons of water. Stir the solution until uniform. Dilutions must be mixed in a separate container first before adding the mixtures into sprayer tanks. Apply the product using the appropriate equipment and methods. Bora-Care is NOT a soil termiticide and therefore must not be applied as such.
Bora-Care may be used in treating cellulosic materials such as wood, plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), paper, cardboard and wood composites. It is recommended conduct pretreatments during construction where greater access to structural wood members is available.
Treat all wood members especially base plates and studs that surround moist areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and plumbing. Treat trusses, joists, rafters and other overhead components.
Apply Bora-Care with Mold-Care to BARE exterior walls only. Paint and other finishes must first be removed prior to treatments. Do NOT apply when raining or snowing.
Bora-Care with Mold-Care may be used in dip treating logs and lumber at the rate of one gallon of Bora-Care solution per 400 board feet of wood.

Bora-Care with Mold-Care is labeled for use in and around homes, apartment, garages, schools, hotels, public and private institutions, farm buildings, trailers, commercial and industrial buildings.

Yes, they were effective but only for a very short period of time. Then I found Boracare with Mold Care and its label says its effect lasts for twelve years. I used it and I’ve proven its great effect and indeed it lasts for a long period of time. Amazing!

Q. I think you may have a typo on your ingredient percentages. 40 percent one ingredient and 80 percent of another is the disodium borate percentage the same as in the regular Boracare ?
A. The Boracare active ingredient is 40% Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate and the Moldcare is made with 80% Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.

Does this bottle has factory seal under the lid.Also do you sell a mixer or suggest what needed to mix water with boracare.
A. Boracare does not have a factory seal under the lid. We do not sell a mixer to go with Boracare. Boracare should be mixed with water in various dilution rates depending on the target pest. For termites, the dilution rate of water to Boracare is 1:1. For wood boring beetles like powderpost beetles, the dilution rate of water to Boracare is 1:3. Boracare has a lifetime residual. Treatments should last at least 8-10 years.

Q. Can Bora-care be applied by home owner? And how.
A. Yes, it can be. And how you apply will depend on the target pest and where you are treating. Usually, the product is diluted with water and sprayed or painted on but the dilution will vary depending on the pest. The dilution rates of Boracare with Mold-Care can all be found on the product label as well as directions for application.

Q. How will I treat infested wood with this product?
A.
You will need to treat infested wood by spraying and/or injecting Bora-Care solution into beetle holes, termite and carpenter ant galleries and decay pockets.
Apply 1 coat of Bora-Care solution to the point of wetness to all infested and susceptible wood, paying particular attention to infested areas. 2 coats of Bora-Care solution need only be applied to those wood members with only 1 or 2 exposed sides.For quicker control, apply an additional coat to heavily infested areas, waiting at least 20 minutes between applications.
Keep in mind that the wood should be bare before an entire surface treatment or coating so that the insecticide can soak into the wood much easier than it would on a finished surface.Was this helpful?

Is Bora-Care with Mold-Care safe to use in furniture inside the living room? Is there any boracare application instruction?
A. Yes, we recommend vacating the area or room that is being treated and let Boracare with Mold-Care dry for few hours. As long as the product has completely dried, it is safe to re-enter the room.

A. For borate wood treatment with Boracare with Mold-Care, Wood flooring can be treated by spray, brush or roller application.

Q. Do I have to mix water with Bora-Care with Mold-Care?
A. Yes, Bora-Care is a concentrate that must be diluted with clean water before use. The use of warm or hot water, if available, and an impeller-type mixer that can be used with an electric drill aids the dilution process.

Q. How much area can 1 gallon of Bora-Care with Mold-Care cover?
A. According to the product label that 1 gallon of Bora-Care concentrate (2 gallons of Bora-Care solution as applied) will treat 800 board feet of wood to a minimum retention level of 0.084 pounds per cubic foot boric acid equivalent (BAE). Since the active ingredient penetrates throughout the wood being treated, calculate the amount of Bora-Care needed on the volume of wood being treated, not just the surface area. Please use the formulas that are in the product label to calculate the required amount of Bora Care that is necessary for treatment.

How long do I wait before I finish or paint the wood that was treated with Bora-Care with Mold-Care?
A. We recommend letting the Bora Care to completely dry for at least 48 hours before applying protective topcoat.

Q. Bora-Care with Mold-Care Mix...
Is it okay to mix Bora-Care with Mold-Care and water in hand sprayers?
A. No, we recommend mixing this product and water in a clean container and stir the solution until completely uniform. Always mix in a separate container then add the solution to a spray tank. Mixing Bora-Care directly in a spray tank can block hoses and nozzles.
