Why Use Bug Bombs?

There are only a few bugs out there that are reclusive in behavior and can simply be regarded as an occasional invader. Unfortunately, that means that most insects will either invade in large numbers or settle inside and reproduce quickly. Often times, pest control becomes very difficult once they have settled in. Although you continue regular maintenance and request regular pest control services, their numbers have already grown too high for standard pest control methods to work. Fortunately, Pest Mall is able to provide a variety of bug bombs that will provide a solution to getting rid of the bugs that have invaded your house. Each bug bomb can is able to provide treatment that will instantly knock down bugs that reside in your home, even in hard to reach areas like in cracks and crevices. They do not leave visible residues or stains and they are easy to use. Bug bombers are the ideal products to use for an oversaturated infestation. It can be used as a preliminary treatment method to kill or eliminate a majority of the pests before regular treatment plans begin or can even be used as a follow up to clean out whatever was left over. They are ideal for indoor use as long as they are used correctly and structures are left vacant for a few hours.

How to Bug Bomb Your Home

Bug bombs provide an instant knock down kill in just a short period of time. Simply, set it on a ledge or a table and release the trigger to discharge the insecticide. To protect the material that the fogger is set on, use newspaper or a pad under the bug bomb. To allow the fogger to disperse evenly, use a ledge or table that is located in the center of the room. Remember that the building must be vacant and kept closed for at least two hours. Upon return, air out the structure by leaving all the windows open for at least an hour. All ignition sources should be turned off before the bug bomb is released and exposed foods, dishes, and food handling equipment must be covered. Also, air conditioners or fans must be turned off. Do not remain inside the area during the treatment.

Q. Are there any bug bombs that will hel to control or eliminate termites/
A.   Unfortunately, there aren't any bug bombs that we carry that target termites. As far as we know, bug bombs are not very effective to control termites since most are repellent insecticides and have very short residual times. Depending on the species of termites, the control method may slightly change. Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-788-4142 or email us with more questions about termite control.

Q. do bug bombs get rid of yellow jackets in basement...not sure where hive is
A.   Bug bombs can control only to a certain extent. If there are yellow jackets that are flying around in the basement and come in contact with the insecticide, they will die on contact; however, there may be a nest in the wall void which means that the bomb or fogger may not be effective or will not eradicate the infestation. Dusts, like Delta Dust, are great products to use in the wall void for yellow jacket control.

Q. Will an insect spray bomb hurt children even after following all precautions and staying out of the house?
Will a child be safe if they stay away at least 12 hours?
A.   It really depends on the fogger. Generally, aerosol foggers are an instant knockdown kill and will not have any effects after it has dried or dissipated from the air. Usually, after the foggers release and dissipate (which can take anywhere between 3-4 hours) it is fine for reentry after ventilation.

Q. fogger products
I have a fogger (Burgess) which I would like to use indoors to fog my barn, home basement and or attic for all sorts of primarily ants, flies, moths, and spiders (big wolf spiders). can I safely do this what type of products can i use to make up the solution? thank you
A.   We recommend using either the Ecoexempt IC-2 or the Speckoz Evercide Esfenvalerate EC. The Ecoexempt IC-2 is made of more natural botanical ingredients. However, because it is not an EC, it will create more of a mist when used with the fogger. You could also use the Speckoz Evercide, which will give you more of the fog effect.

For treatment, please remove all pets and animals before using the fogger. Animals may be let in once the area is dried for a couple of hours
