Q. about bug bombs
If you are setting a bug bomb under your home should you do it while no one is home
A. Generally, you would want to evacuate the area for a couple of hours when using bug bombs.
Q. i have chronic liver disease...will any of theses chemicals to kill off bed bugs harm me?
A. Unfortunately, we are not very knowledgeable in that area. We recommend that you list out the active ingredients of the products you are interested in purchasing and inquire about them to your physician. They will be able to better assist you.
Q. will bug bombs set off a sprinkler system
A. Most smoke bombs are not designed for indoor use. Foggers are more dense, therefore it should not effect the sprinkler system.
Q. what is the best month to bomb bees before they become to active
A. This would all be a case by case determination on the best bombing time for bees. If there is an active hive, you can use a product like wasp freeze or stingray wasp and hornet jet spray to treat the nests. Removing the bee hive would be the best way to keep them from reinvesting the area.
Q. fogger products
I have a fogger (Burgess) which I would like to use indoors to fog my barn, home basement and or attic for all sorts of primarily ants, flies, moths, and spiders (big wolf spiders). can I safely do this what type of products can i use to make up the solution? thank you
We recommend using either the Ecoexempt IC-2
or the Speckoz Evercide Esfenvalerate EC
. The Ecoexempt IC-2 is made of more natural botanical ingredients. However, because it is not an EC, it will create more of a mist when used with the fogger. You could also use the Speckoz Evercide, which will give you more of the fog effect.
For treatment, please remove all pets and animals before using the fogger. Animals may be let in once the area is dried for a couple of hours
Q. which one should I use to kill house centipedes & spiders?
We seem to have house centipedes in my daughters room, I understand they bite and would like to eliminate them. While I understand they are looking for food, I wish to eliminate their source which I suspect are spiders. Which bug bomb would you recommend to kill them all...and do I need to remove the bed matress?
A. There is no such bomb that will get rid of centipedes or spiders. We recommend Suspend SC which is a liquid concentrate that is diluted in water and sprayed on surfaces like the baseboards, under and behind the furniture, the window sills and etc. All treated areas should be avoided until it is completely dry. You do not need to remove the bed mattress as this is not the primary area that centipedes will hide. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. what fogger do you recommend to rid a home of fleas?
I have you discount store quality foggers with little success. It has been approximately 6 months since I last treated.
A. We recommend you use Precor Fogger for initial treatment, Along with it, we recommend using Zenprox in order to spray onto the carpets. Zenprox has a longer residual time of about 2-3 months, killing the fleas when they come into contact with the treated area.
Q. I really need a do-it-yourself product for termites
I believe I have furiture with termites because of tiny yellow sawdust looking droppings. I need to eliminate or at least contain them before they spread to the rest of my home. Where I live there isn't professional extermination.
A. First and foremost, you must identify the pest before you can really eliminate the infestation. Do-it-yourself termite control on furniture can be tricky because in order to successfully treat the piece of furniture, you will either have to fumigate or sand down the wood to get the surface bare enough to treat with a liquid preservative/termiticide. Fumigation is usually not safe for DIY treatments. We recommend Premise or if you can sand down the wood, then we recommend Boracare, which is not only a great wood-pest insecticide, but it is also a wood preservative. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. Is this a safe product to use? I have young children that live here?
A. Bug bombs are safe as long as the house is evacuated for 4-5 hours after treatment. Upon return, be sure to fully ventilate the area by opening all windows.
Q. How long after I bomb will I be bug free
I bombed for earwigs, after the process I came in opened up all the windows turned on fans and air conditioning, vacuumed and washed down everything. There were quite a few dead ones that I vacuumed up... How long before I will not have them crawling around anymore. I live in an apartment, there is no mulch or wood chips around, I have this problem every year, but this year seems to be worse then others!
A. Bombing will only kill any active earwigs. It will not be very effective for any insects that are hiding. We recommend putting down a general insecticide that will have a residual like Suspend SC. It is also important to inspect, locate and seal any possible entry points to help keep them out.
