Carpenter Ant Control
Carpenter ants are by far the largest of the ant species. Normally active during the night, they make their homes out of dry or decaying wood. Even though most people think that since they work with, and live in wood, they eat it. This is false, and this is why small piles of sawdust is apparent when they are boring into it. This is one of the telltale signs of a carpenter ant infestation, and one that pest control specialists have been using for a plethora of years. By some accounts, people think that they may have a carpenter ant infestation, and in reality, it may be the work of beetles or other insects. For instance, if there is mud, pellets, or powdered grass, this is generally the doing of termites or another insect that bores into wood.
