Deltagard G

The new, improved formulation for DELTAGARD G Insecticide with DeltaGard delivers the strength of DeltaGard brand deltamethrin in a new water-dispersible carrier to provide quick knockdown and lasting control of ants and other crawling insects. Its smaller granule size enables easier calibration and spreading, and provides better coverage. In fact, its granules fall through vegetative cover and heavy mulch to effectively treat hard-to-reach areas where pests may be foraging, trailing, or nesting.

Deltagard G is a granule that is applied on the lawn and activated by water after application. Deltagard G has a quick elimination ingrediant and long lasting control of pests that live in lawns and landscaped areas.

Useful Tips You May Need to Know

• Recommended to apply with handle spreader for even distribution.

• DELTAGARD G can be applied to home lawns for general lawn surface feeding insect pests and for perimeter pests. The rate is 2 to 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Granules can be applied with conventional spreaders or equivalent equipment, such as shaker cans.

• For lawn applications, optimum results are achieved when the granules are watered into the turf.

• For perimeter applications, treat a band 5 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the building.

• For ant mounds and nests and digger wasp ground nests, sprinkle 1 to 2 teaspoons over the nest.

• Red imported fire ant mounds can be treated with up to 1 teaspoon over each mound, and up to 2 feet around each mound. One gallon of water lightly sprinkled over the mound will dissolve the granules and improve control.

DeltaGard G does not have the potential to stain concrete or damage plants. And it even resists particle damage until water is added. Its cost-effective low application rate protects up to 5,000 square feet with a single 10-pound bag. The formulation has virtually no odor after application, and is available in new resealable plastic bags in the 10- and 20-pound sizes.

OUTDOOR TREATMENT with DELTAGARD G GRANULE

Annual Bluegrass Weevil, Ants, Armyworms, Bermudagrass Mites, Billbugs, Black Turfgrass Ataenius Boxelder Bugs, Centipedes, Chiggers, Chinch Bugs, Clover Mites, Cockroaches, Crickets, Cutworms, Darkling Ground Beetles, Digger Wasps, Essex Skipper, Field Crickets, Fiery Skipper, Fire Ants, Flea Beetles, Fleas, Grasshoppers, Japanese Beetle, Lawn Moths, Leafhoppers, Mealybugs, Scorpions, Silverfish and Firebrats, Sod Webworms, Sowbugs, Spiders, Spittlebugs, Springtails, Ticks (including those that may carry Lyme disease), Vegetable Weevils use 2 to 3 lbs/ 1,000 sq ft or 87 to 131 lbs/acre or 0.08 to 0.13 lbs ai/acre. Treat when insects first appear and apply this product uniformly to the treated area. Use the higher application rate for subsurface pests and/or for extended residual control. For optimum results, irrigate with an adequate quantity of water to thoroughly moisten grass and thatch an dissolve the insecticide granules.
Mole Crickets use 2 to 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. In order to improve efficacy, irrigate as soon as possible with 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water.

Tick Control Outdoors with Deltagard G Granule:

A regular treatment program should be followed. Treat once a month wthi Deltagard G Granule as directed above when pests first appear in late spring (May-June) and continue until late summer (August-September) into the fall.

Sod Webworms with Deltadard G Granule:

If Lawn Moths (Sod Webworm adults) are noticed in large numbers at dusk, or at first sign of damage to lawn, treat entire lawn uniformly.

Perimeter Treatment with Deltagard G Granule:

To help prevent infestation of buildings by Ants, Boxelder Bugs, Centipedes, Cockroaches, Clover Mites, Crickets, Field Crickets, Fire Ants, Scorpions, Sowbugs, Spiders, Springtails (Collembola), Termites, and Ticks, treat a band 5 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the building where pests are active and may find entrance. Treat at a rate of 1 to 1 1/2 lbs per 500 sq ft or 2 to 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.

Spot Treatment with Deltagard G Granule:

To control Ants, including Acrobat, Argentine, Big Headed, Cornfield, Harvester, Leafcutter, Little Black, Pavement and Pyramid Ants. If possible, locate and treat with Deltagard G Granule nest first. Product should be applied to thoroughly cover the nest (1 to 2 teaspoons) and sprinkles with sufficient water to dissolve granules. In addition to treating ant nests or mounds, entry points of buildings and the soil surface along the perimeter of the building should be treated.

Treat Digger Wasps with Deltagard G Granule:

Apply 1 to 2 teaspoons of Deltagard G Granules in and around each individual ground nest opening. make the application at dusk when wasps are not active.

Treat Imported Fire Ants with Deltagard G Granule:

Apply 2 tablespoons of Deltagard G Granule over each 8" to 10" diameter mound and 2 feet around each mound to prevent escape of the queen. Immediately after application, water Deltagard G Granule into the soil gently with a light sprinkling can to avoid disturbing the colony. Use at least 1 gal of water per mound. Apply in cool weather during the spring or fall (65-80 F), or in early morning or late evening for best results. Treat new mounds as they appear. If possible, make applications after a recent rainfall.

Treat Flower, Shrub, Ornamental Plant Beds and Interior Plantscapes with Deltagard G Granule:

To control Ants, Fire Ants, Centipedes, Cockroaches, Crickets, Cutworms, Sowbugs, Pillbugs, Grasshoppers, Armyworms, Scorpions, Spiders, Springtails, and Ticks, apply granules evenly over soil within the beds, interiorscapes, and under shrubbery. Use the same dosage recommended for control of these pests in lawns. For optimum results, irrigate with a adequate quantity of water to thoroughly moisten treated area and dissolve Deltagard G Granule. Do no use on or around fruit and nut trees, vegetable plants or around any plants used for food.
