Dominion 2L Termiticide / Insecticide
Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate does not repel pests, but instead uses a starvation method. Once the termites comes into contact with Dominion 2L, they will automatically stop feeding and die. Do not use Dominion 2L with a termite bait because it will not work; however, you can also use it with an non repellent termite bait system such as Termidor. We recommend that when purchasing this product, you also purchase the Chapin 1 gallon sprayer. The average home will need approximately 100 gallon yield which is 4 gallons per 10 linear ft.. Termites and Dominion 2L is undetectable to insects and termites, so they would not be able to navigate around the treated area. When Dominion 2L is applied around the perimeter of your home, you have created an invisible barrier around your home to protect your home from termites. Dominion 2L chemically binds to the soil so it would not get washed away, keeping your house protected.

Directions for Use
Use Dominion 2L in pre-construction and post-construction treatments. For effective control, applicators must have the knowledge to perform treatment techniques such as rodding, trenching, crack and crevice injections or sub-slab injections. Typical control situations require 0.05% to 0.10% dilutions depending on the severity of infestations. Mix Dominion 2L with water following the recommended dilution rates found in the product label. Dilutions must be applied using proper application equipment such as hand or power sprayers. Apply the product as directed.
Termite Control with Dominion 2L Termiticide
Dominion 2L can be used in and around homes and buildings for termite control and prevention as well as applied directly to the infestation. Dominion 2L is applied at very low rate, usually 0.05% dilution is used for typical control situation, and 0.1% dilution is used for severe or persistent infestation. When 0.05% dilution is applied, one 27.5 oz bottle will yield 100 gallons of emulsion for treatment of 250 linear feet, wheras 0.1% dilution will yield 50 gallons of emulsion for treatment of 125 linear feet.
Dominion 2L is non-repellent termiticide--termites will not detect Dominion 2L and will crawl over the area where Dominion 2L is applied. Once the termites come in contact with Dominion 2L, the delay action kill of Dominion 2L will allow termites enough time to return to their colony and spread among themselves, eventually killing the entire colony.
How to Get Rid of Subterranean Termites with Dominion 2L
When treating for subterranean termites, trench around the foundation of the home / building structure 6 inches deep. Then, mix Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate with water according to the table provided inside the Product Label
- Fill Tank to 1/3 full.
- If using large sprayer, start pump to begin bypass agitation and place end of treating tool in tank to allow circulation through hose.
- Add appropriate amount of DOMINION 2L TERMITICIDE / INSECTICIDE. Add remaining amount of water. Let pump run and allow recirculation through the hose for 2 to 3 minutes.
After mixing Dominion 2L Termiticide / Insecticide with water, apply 4 gallons of the emulsion every 10 linear feet. However, where soil conditions do not accept application of 4 gallons per 10 linear feet, treat the area twice with 2 gallons of the solution per 10 feet.
For subterranean termite control, submit to all federal, state and local regulations and treatment standards for termite protection.
Turfgrass Insect Pest Control with Dominion 2L Termiticide / Insecticide
DOMINION 2L TERMITICIDE / INSECTICIDE can be also used to control insect pests on turfgrass in home lawns, business and office complexes, shopping complexes, multi-family residential compleses, golf courses, airports, cemeteries, parks, playgorunds, athletic fields, and sod farms
For effective control of turfgrass insects, apply Dominion 2L before or during the egg laying period. Once Dominion 2L is applied, the residual action of the product will provide control over the turfgrass insects through the egg hatching periods. The optimum control will be achieved when the applications are made prior to egg hatch, followed by sufficient irrigation or rainfall to penetrate the active ingredient vertically in the soil profile. Do not exceed a total of 1.6 pints per acre per year.
Ornamental Pest Control with Dominion 2L
Dominion 2L can be used on ornamentals in commercial and residential landscapes and interior plantsacpe. Dominion 2L is a systemic product, meaning it will be taken up into the plant system from root uptake. Treat the area where the growing portion of the target plant can absorb the active ingredient. For better effectiveness, using nitrogen containing fertilizer, where applicable, along with Dominion 2L, may enhance the uptake of the active ingredient.

Review by Dennis Anthony (Posted on Saturday 08 October, 2011)If you think that just because Dominion 2L is a strong and highly effective insecticide you won’t need to have the knowledge and application techniques then you are wrong. You need to know at least a few basic application methods like trenching, rodding, crack and crevice treatment. Also you need to apply Dominion with proper equipment such as power sprayers or even with your hand. For severe infestations you should use 0.10% dilution and for typical infestations 0.05% is recommended by the experts or rather manufacturers.

It has an active ingredient, Imidacloprid with a concentration of 21.4% which enhances Dominion’s power for insect and termite killing both above and below the ground and the high residual effects. I was thoroughly impressed that along with my termites Dominion had killed so many other disgusting pests.

There was a subterranean termite infestation under my home. So I had to dig 6 foot deep under the ground to spray Dominion 2L. After that I followed all the instruction and Voila! The entire problem I had to face due to the stupid termites was over. I am really pleased with Dominion 2L.

Normally, if you use an insecticide in the form of spray then the pests can sense it except the really dull ones and so the ones that you want to get rid of are still alive and the ones you couldn’t care less about die instead. Dominion 2L has an ability which makes sure that termite and other pests can’t sense it. You can spray it around the perimeter of your home so as to create an invisible barrier against pests and termites. Dominion 2L chemically binds itself to the soil around your home so that it is not easily wearied off or washed away by rain.

I am really careful as to how I spend my salary. Dominion is not going to kill the termites or pests as soon as they come into contact with it but Dominion has a function that makes the target stop feeding until death. An average home may take 2 bottles of Dominion 2L yielding up to 100 gallons of finished solution that is 4 gallons per 10 linear ft. I am going to give you one useful piece of advice and that is you should try out Dominion 2L.

The product label states and advises that you do not spray directly onto any water sources, surface water, or any area where water will come in contact with, such as tides. We strongly recommend that you take every precaution and thoroughly read the product label before application.

Will imidacloprid insecticide such as Dominion 2L kill pests directly on contact?
A. No, imidacloprid insecticide such as Dominion 2L Concentrate does not kill pests directly in contact, but instead uses a starvation method. Once the termites come into contact with Dominion 2L, they ingest the poison and it interrupts their digestive system which leads to a stop feed and starvation method of control.

Q. imidacloprid for flea treatment
I had bought imidacloprid from an ebay seller in a DIY flea solution drops - it worked great! But now I'm out. He is no longer a seller. His product sheet said any imidacloprid 21.4% solution would work as long as that was the only active ingredient. Would your dominion 2l work as flea control? Thanks,
A. Dominion 2L certainly fits the description of a 21.4% Imidacloprid active ingredient; however, it actually does not have fleas on the product label as a target pest. There is a product called Temprid SC that has the active ingredients Imidacloprid - 21.00%, Beta-Cyfluthrin - 10.5% and so it is slightly different than 21.4% Imidacloprid, but it actually has fleas labeled as a target pest on the product label. Consider using Temprid SC instead of Dominion for flea control.

what type of termite control should i use for indoor use? i have a camper that i am gutting and restoring and have an infestation in it.
A. It really depends on where the isolated area of infestation is. For indoor control, we recommend the Premise products. Use Premise foam for cracks and crevices and void areas because it will expand and cling onto surfaces a lot better than liquid sprays. If it is a surface treatment, we recommend doing spot treatment with Premise Liquid Termiticide.

Q. can i mix a bit of dominion 2l in a chapin foam together with boracare and profoam ?
A. You should not mix separate insecticides together unless it is otherwise stated. It may potentially ruin the chemical contents of either insecticide. Using Profoam with Boracare or using Profoam with Dominion is alright; however, they would have to be used separately. Sometimes an IGR can be mixed into certain insecticides, but it would not be wise to mix killing insecticides together.

A. A standard pump sprayer can be used to apply the I dominion 2L. If you are doing a ground treatment, a larger tank may make application easier, but it will not make a difference.

A. For trenching, Dominion 2L will last about 7 years whereas Termidor SC will last up to 10 years. The shelf life for both products is approximately 2 years as long as it is stored properly at room temperature.

How do you use this?
A. Technically, you can spray Dominion on a deck but it will not penetrate through the wood because Dominion has been designed for ground treatment. If you have subterranean termites, you have to do ground trench treatment regardless and Dominion is a great product for that.

A. It really depends on the target pest but for 0.1% emulsion concentrates, you will need 0.6 fluid ounces of Dominion 2L per gallon of water and for 0.05% emulsion concentrates, you will need 0.3 fluid ounces of Dominion 2L per gallon of water.

I have fruit trees (orange and fig) with wood mulch. I've seen termites in the mulch. Can this be sprayed directly on the mulch, or will the chemical leach into the plant roots?

A. Yes, like Termidor, I Dominion 2L is a non-repellent. The difference will be the active ingredient. The residual is about 5-6 years.

A. Thank you for contacting us. The price of the item will Cheaper by the more. Also, there is no actual "expiration date" but we receive new shipments every week and we know that the shelf life is about 1-2 years, depending on how you are storing the product.

A. Crazy Rasberry Ants are not labeled as a target pest. It will target Carpenter ants however. If you are looking for products to target Crazy Rasberry Ants, consider the Dupont Advion Ant Bait Gel.

I would like to purchase Dominion to lay a barrier around house/foundation against bugs such as ants and earwigs. How effective is this product against bugs other than termites? Can a pour around roots of a tree that has ant crawling up and down? Lastly, do I need a license to purchase in Virginia?
A. For social insects like ants, Dominion not work as a contact kill or a systemic insecticide, however, in the long run, it will not be very effective.
Baits are the best method of kill for eliminating ants. Also, earwigs, you may want to use a contact kill liquid concentrate insecticide like Suspend SC or MasterLine 7.9.
Finally, our broker's license allows us to sell to the general consumer as long as it is for personal use and not for redistribution or commercial use. Also, if the product is registered in that state, there will be no problems when we send it to you.Was this helpful?

HI...on you sell the "Dominion 2l, Professional Termite Control,termidor,termiticide Concentrate" for $42.55 (it has a yellow cap) and here you sell a Dominion 2L Concentrate with WHITE cap for much more. What is the differece ? are they the same?
A. The cap colors have no significance. Sometimes in a case we will get a few yellow caps mixed in with the white capped Dominions.
