Q. german cockroach in house
i have german cockroach problems
For german cockroach
, we suggest roach bait gels and also an IGR. Roach bait gels placed in areas of infestation will be effective in that there is a delay kill effect. The roaches will consume the bait and bring it back to their colony and ultimately share the bait with other roaches.
We recommend an IGR as well. IGR stands for Insect Growth Regulator. It restricts reproduction of crawling insect. It does not have a killing effect, however, it does slow down the reproduction rate of most crawling insect.

Q. German roach control
having some trouble w/German roaches in a rental house but not sure what kind. we have sprayed with talstar one time but have some bugs left. what kind of bait should we put out and how many times should we spray. The unit is currently empty?
Actually, it may be the most effective to use a gel bait in an empty unit because there will not be an alternate food source for the German roaches
Gel baits are effective in that it even though it has a delay-kill effect, the residual time is fairly long. Gel baits along with a an IGR would be the most effective.
An IGR is an insect growth regulator that will prevent the insects from reproducing. You replace the gel baits every 2 weeks.
Q. how to kill cockroaches
I found many German roaches in my kitchen and I have used the Raid spray and baits which kills most of them. But I can still see one or two roaches when I come into the kitchen. People say that Advion Roach Bait Stations are quite effective. Could you please give me some suggestions? Thanks.
A. Yes, both the Dupont Advion Roach Bait Stations as well as the Dupont Advion Roach Bait Gel are very effective for German Roaches.
Q. Restaurant roach control
I just bought Orthene pco pellets and Gentrol for Restaurant roach problem. Can i mix the two together and apply it at once or do i have to apply it individually?
A. Yes, the two roach control products can be mixed in the same gallon of water and applied by one application and not separately.
Q. what works well to kill roaches in a multi-animal facility?
A. We wonder what kind of facility you are inquiring about. Usually, for a German cockroach infestation, we will recommend baits, whether it is a bait station or bait gel. We especially recommend the pre baited cockroach bait stations like the Maxforce roach bait station so that you can protect the animals from getting into the bait. You can use the gel baits in areas that they cannot access. These will be behind large pieces of furniture, in cracks and crevices on utility pipes like behind the toilet and under sinks. Q. Am I responsible for German roaches in my apt?
I live in an apt building and I'm a neat freak. I clean my apt every single day til its spotless. However I still see German roach about 3 to 4 times a day. That may not be as bad as most cases, but I'm very clean and I don't want to see them at all. Am I responsible or my landlord to kill them them? Or what can I do on my part to get rid of the problem? When I do see them, its in my bedroom or hallway but rarely in the kitchen near food. Why is that?
A. Apartment complexes are difficult to give a general treatment for German roaches. All tenants need to be proactive in taking care of the situation and usually, it will be the landlord's responsibility to make that happen. We do recommend using gel baits like the Dupont Advion Roach Gel Bait to help control the German roaches inside your apartment. Apply the gel bait in pea-sized amounts under the sink, behind the toilet, under and behind appliances, under cabinets, and etc. Each spot should be about 1-1.5 feet away from each other.
Q. I have the German cockroach And have read on ways to kill them bout my question What is safe with my dog and bird? Birds have a very sensitive respiratory system and afraid to use some of the pest control out there. Do you know any safe solution?
A. For German cockroach infestations, baits are the most effective. Use gel baits like Dupont Advion Roach Bait Gel or bait stations like the Maxforce FC Roach Bait Stations. Place gels in areas that are inaccessible by your pets like under the sink, under the cabinets, behind the toilets, behind and under the appliances, and etc. Use the stations where it is possible for them to access like corners of the rooms, on top of counters, and etc. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
