Although it seems a little bit more tedious than spraying on a liquid termiticide, injecting solutions into the wood will be just as effective.
- Trench Treatment or Ground Treatment: Often times, one of the most effective methods of control for subterranean termites is to use liquid termiticides for direct ground treatment. The concept of trench treatment is to create an underground barrier of liquid termite insecticides so that you can protect your structure from the massive underground termite colonies.

Q. Termite termiticide/insecticide.
I am looking for a treatment for roof beams that have active termite some areas can only be accessed via a long sick or sprayer can you help ? the roof is on an occupied dwelling
also looking for effective external ant control
A. Thank you for contacting us with your concern. For treatment in the roof area we recommend that you use boracare termiticide/insecticide. This product will thoroughly soak through the wood on unfinished surfaces.
For ant treatment indoors it is best to use an ant gel and bait then since they are always foraging for food. Dupont advion ant gel is an excellent brand many professionals use for indoor ant control.

Q. diy termite control
Hi,
I'm looking for the best kind of termite control you offer?
There's some confusion about Imidacloprid and Fipronil?
Which is better? I have a 28X44 split foyer home with an attached 24X36 garage--concrete slab floors in both. How much will I need to treat the outside and inside?
Also, I have drain tile around the outside and inside perimiter of the floors....

The two termite chemicals are just different active ingredients.
The Masterline I Maxx Pro that you are inquiring about and also a popular product that attacks termites called Premise both have the active ingredient Imidacloprid.
However, our most popular product for termite control called Termidor, uses the active ingredient Fipronil. All products work the same, in which they all work as repellents.
The difference is that they have different active ingredients and also the concentration and dilution rates for each product are different. It may just come down to the price or active ingredient for you.
As far as the quantity in treatment needed, you will need approximately 105 gallons for a 28x44 and also 24x36. For Termidor, that is just about 5 bottles of Termidor.
For Maxx Pro, It yields 50-100 gallons depending on how much you dilute the product. Therefore it will take approximately 3 bottles of Maxx Pro.

Q. what can be used in a fogger for termintes
A. Foggers are not recommended for termites because it does not provide a long term control. If you have an isolated termite infestation that you are trying to get rid of, you can use foam termiticide or liquid sprays. Premise is a great product for indoor termite control or you can call at 1-800-788-4142 for other recommendations.

Q. do it yourself termite control
I HAVE FOUND EVIDENCE OF POSSIBLE TERMITE INVASION (A SERIES OF HOLES IN AN EXTERIOR WALL PLUGGED BY MUD), I HAVE TRENCHED AND USED DOMINION 2L FROM YOU IN JULY. SHOULD I INJECT POISON IN THE HOLES? IF SO, HOW? I LIVE IN JACKSONVILLE, FL
A. Treatment will depend on how big the infestation is but you will need to drill holes. Each hole will be about 12 inches apart and about 5 inches from the ground. Use Premise Foam and inject the foam into each hole that you drill.

Q. best time to treat..
Given these dimensions and issues, can you please provide the amount of each product that should be purchased? Is there any particular time of the year that is best to treat? Can treatment be done in the winter? What type of equipment should be used to dig the trench?
A.
To trench you will need a drill or you can use a shovel but it will take a very long time.
It is best to treat in the spring time and termidor does last more ten years once it has been trenched.
Also you will need to treat the dug out as well as applying termidor to the trench itself. If termidor is too pricey you can use the other recommend Dominion.
If you treat now your will be covered for the winter time as well. Since you are already infested it is important to treat asap.

Q. termiticide questions
We believe you have two types of dry wood which
boracare termiticide which would be good if you
had an attic to access the beams, these need
a treatment of a tent over the house with gas.
Since these are very slow eaters it is not the
urgent matter.
The comejen have a nest under one of the roof
panels that nest needs to be treated and distroyed
termidor may or may not work on this type.
At this point there is not sign of subteranian
or termites that live under the ground because
it is a sandy ground. This is what I thought
was there I will check further on thursdays
there are no tubes coming from the ground
only from the ceiling.

A. Termidor should not be used indoors unless used as a spot treatment for subterranean termites. For dry termites it is recommended that you use Boracare termiticide. Just apply the boracare termiticide to the unfinished wood along the attic and beams so that the termiticide could seep through the wood for effective treatment.
