Live Animal Trap (Chipmunks, Squirrels and Rats) - Small

Works great!
Worked to perfection. Direction would have been nice, but it wasn't too hard to figure out.

Rat Trap
I ordered the 12" rat trap - it arrived in 2 days! I set it in the garage, as I knew I'd seen two large rats running into the attic from there. First day I set it, within an hour I caught a mom rat and a 2" baby. The next time, I left it overnight and found another mom rat and FIVE 2" babies!!! I had covered the bottom of the cage (and the treadle) with a newspaper, then covered the cage with a dark cloth, and set it where I previously placed some fruit so they'd look in the same place again. The spacing of the wire is close enough that even the little ones didn't escape. Easy to set once you know how to put the hook thru the hole in the treadle and set it. Wish I'd thought of sending for it before they had a litter! Worth every penny.

I found very difficult to set the trigger even after bendind sone wires. mine came with no instructions but that was not the problem.Animals come and eat and leave.I wound pay mnore for a better,simpler design.

Both traps came as ordered and nicely packed. No problems at all. I haven't caught anything with either trap but I think whatever was tunneling and eating my plants has moved on, maybe because they've been trapped and released before?

We had a squirrel move into our attic. It made an amazing amount of noise for such a small creature and it started tearing up some of the boxes we keep up there. My husband and I were both worried about it spreading disease and ruining our stuff. We considered using a large rat trap but we’re both animal lovers and didn’t want to hurt an innocent creature. We realized that a live animal trap may be the answer to our problem. We baited it with some food that we learned will attract squirrels. Needless to say, we had the squirrel in the trap with-in a few days. My husband and I drove the poor thing out into the woods and set it free. This trap really was the ideal solution.

I had a problem with squirrels constantly infesting my shed. It was impossible to keep them out of the old shed and I didn’t want to spread poisons because of my dogs. This live animal trap was just what I needed. I set them up regularly and almost always catch a squirrel. Maybe one day they’ll learn not to go in there.
