Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel
Bayer’s Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait provides fast control of carpenter ants in just 3 to 5 days. Though its method of control is rather slow than contact kill insecticides, Maxforce offers a control solution that targets the root of all ant infestations – ant colonies. Using a powerful combination of attractive ingredients and a slow-acting active ingredient, Maxforce eliminates carpenter ants by the colony. Foraging ants harvest the bait and the active ingredient is transferred to colony members including the queen. When the queen dies, so too does the colony.

Directions for Use
To apply the product, remove the cap from the tip and touch the tip to the surface. Depress the plunger and apply 1 gram of gel per spot. Apply gel to infested areas and ant trails indoors and outdoors. Place gel in small amounts in spaces between construction members, cracks, crevices, voids and hollow spaces in walls, floors, ceilings, windows and doors, cabinets, along pipes and other ant entry/exit sites. Do not apply to surfaces treated with repellent insecticides or in surfaces that are routinely washed. Do not apply bait to hot surfaces and equipment such as hot water pipes and stoves for the gel may run. Do not apply bait to surfaces used in processing/handling food/feed. Applications in food handling areas is limited to crack and crevice treatments only. Repeat treatments as necessary. Inspect and replace baits every 2 weeks or as needed.
Where to Apply
Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel is for use in and around food/feed and non-food/feed areas of residential, commercial, agricultural, institutional and industrial buildings and modes of transport such as buses, ships, trains, trailers and aircraft.

Our home is made of wood and I am always worried that they might destroy our house so I always apply Maxforce to prevent it from happening. To my surprise after 3 days, hundreds of dead carpenter ants appeared! Thanks to Maxforce my house is protected!

Fipronil is a slow acting poison that is why it’s not just an ant but colonies of it are killed due to the reason that ants have the chance to bring this gel inside the colony allowing others to eat the gel.

A. We recommend placing Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel in cracks, crevices, corners and any out of the way place, such as under and behind kitchen appliances, along baseboards, under sinks, in pantry, around pipes and water heater, window and door frames, and in the garage, attic, or crawl spaces.

How will Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel kill the insects?
A. Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel is a bait product formulated to take advantage of ant trophallaxis, which is the transfer of food or fluid from mouth to mouth. Through trophallaxis, worker ants eat the bait while foraging, then feed it to the rest of the colony. Then the larvae digest the solid bait and produce a liquid containing the Fipronil that is fed to the rest of the colony and queens.
