MotherEarth Dust Diatomaceous Earth - 8 oz.
Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring substance with pesticidal known properties. MotherEarth is one of the safest insecticides available today. The product does not contain chemical insecticides but rivals the performance of chemically based pesticides. Much like boric acid, diatomaceous earth is composed of microscopic abrasive particles that cut through insect exoskeletons. These particles are also excellent moisture absorbers, contaminated insects are dehydrated and they are killed eventually.

Diatomaceous earth is a powerful residual that does not decompose or dissolve. Expect the most lasting residual with MotherEarth Pest Control Dust.

Directions for Use
We recommend applying MotherEarth Diatomaceous Dust with a Bellow duster or a Centrobulb duster for best application.
FOR ANTS, COCKROACHES, EARWIGS, SPIDERS AND OTHER CRAWLING INSECTS: Apply to infested areas using a hand duster. Apply lightly to cracks and crevices, crawlspaces, along baseboards, around sinks, cabinets, refrigerators, stoves and in attics and basements.
IN FOOD HANDLING AREAS: Use the product for crack and crevice or spot treatments in food/feed handling areas. Remove or cover food in treatment area before applications. Limit spot treatments to floors and walls. Apply in dry areas for best results. Repeat treatment as necessary.
FOR FLEAS: Treat pet resting areas, beddings, sleeping quarters, rugs and carpets by applying evenly a thin coat of the product over these areas. Rake the carpets and rugs after applications in order for the dust to penetrate the fabric. Leave for overnight treatment. Treat cracks and crevices, baseboards and other areas where fleas may find entrance. Repeat applications if necessary.
OUTDOOR USE: Apply using hand dusters and similar dust application equipment. Treat perimeters, ant trails, foundations, window sills and frames and other possible pest entry points. Repeat treatments if necessary.

MotherEart D is for use indoors and outdoors of residential, commercial, industrial buildings and food/feed handling areas.

(5/5) Review by Natalie Fisher (Posted on )It smells and feels like crushed chalk. I was having a problem with bed bugs, they kept coming back even after i did self extermination. So yes, it did work. Buy it. The only disadvantage is that mother earth does leave a white powdery residue, obviously. It's hard to brush or sweep off of things because it's so extremely fine. However, if your place is full of cockroaches, you've got nothing to lose.

A. The product label states that MotherEarth Dust is for indoor and outdoor use. It also labels fleas as a targeted pest along with other crawling insects.

Is it safe to apply Mother Earth D powder directly to mattress?
A. No, it is not. Although Mother Earth Dust is a natural product and is safer other dusts, just like any dust product, Mother Earth has the potential to be inhaled. Therefore, it is always recommended to apply dust products in restricted areas.

Q. Do you know when yu will have some of the mother earth dusk since is out of stock? I need to get some of this right away
A. Unfortunately, the Mother Earth Dust has been discontinued and will therefore no longer be available. However, you may choose to purchase Pyganic Dust instead, which is just as effective.

Q. Since Motherearth D is an organic product
Since Motherearth D is an organic product, can I use it on my vegetable garden? There are so many bugs on them, but I don’t want to spray something that will harm the plants.
A. Although MotherEarth D is an organic product, the product label itself advises not to apply MotherEarth Dust onto any edible plants. It can be used in food-handling areas, but not directly on any foods. For vegetable gardens, we can recommend Merit 75 WP.

Q. I have a two year old boy and a cat
I have a two year old boy and a cat. Will the Mother earth dust be safe to use indoors around my baby and cat?
A. MotherEarth D is allowed for use indoors and outdoors. It is very safe and does not contain any chemicals as it is an organic product. It should be safe to use it around your baby and cat as long as they are cleared of the area during the application process. Do not over-dust as that makes the product less effective also. Read the product label for more, thorough directions.

Q. I just poured some mother earth dust on a bed bug that I saw crawling in my room
I just poured some mother earth dust on a bed bug that I saw crawling in my room, but it didn't die. What's going on? Is it a defected product?
A. For MortherEarth D, we advise that you use a Bellowbulb Duster and apply a very thin layer, evenly distributed. Because the bed bugs are so small, if you apply too much of the Mother Earth dust, they will learn to avoid that area and the product will become ineffective. Also, it is not a contact kill, but rather, once the bed bugs are exposed to the MotherEarth D, they will become dehydrated and die from dehydration.

WE had tried everything to rid our yeard of the ground squirrel, but your trap worked like a charm. To date we have captured and released several miles away from our home the five ground squirrels. Cute creatures, but the noise and holes in our yard was really getting to us.
