Optigard Ant Gel Bait is an odorless, clean and easy to use format lets you get the good done quick and easy. Advion ant bait gel is one of the best products out there, a low doses. Just simply add a drop here and there and you will be ant worry free. Optigard Ant Gel Bait offers unparalleled control of a broad spectrum of ants by ingestion and transfer of the bait, targeting the colony, not just the workers.  The new gel formulation is clear and non-staining, with low odor.  It maintains its gel integrity at higher than normal temperatures and won??t ?°run?±. Optigard Ant Gel Bait uses the non-repellent chemistry of thiamethoxam which controls the entire colony via transfer and trophallaxis (regurgitation).  Additionally, Optigard Ant Gel Bait provides a longer window of palatability so, as it ages, ants will continue to feed on the bait without any loss of attraction.

Use Optigard Ant Gel Bait in and around: residential areas and institutional, warehousing and commercial establishments (including warehouses, restaurants, food processing plants, supermarkets, hospitals, nursing homes, motels, hotels, schools, apartments, aircraft, buses, boats/ships, trains).

Application of Optigard Ant Gel Bait

Optigard Ant Gel Bait can be used indoors and outdoors for control of nuisance ants. It comes in a ready-to-use 30 gram syringe with plunger and requires no mixing, and should be applied in pea-sized amounts where needed.

For use indoors:

Apply bait in areas where ants are found foraging or nesting, such as: cracks, crevices, corners, behind kitchen appliances, baseboards, under sinks, around window and door frames, around sinks and water heaters and in attics, crawlspaces and garages. Bait must be placed out of reach of children and pests.

Visually inspect for the presence of ants and place this product in areas where ants are seen. Optimal locations for bait placement are the active points of entry and areas with potential high moisture including: wall voids, cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms, under sinks, window sills and door frames, screen vents, attics, crawl spaces and garages. In areas of excessive foraging activity, place bait in several locations near the point of entry. Do not place bait in areas that are routinely washed, as washing will remove or dilute bait. Do not treat food preparation surfaces with Optigard Ant Gel Bait . During followup visits inspect placements and reapply Optigard Ant Gel Bait as needed.

For control outdoors:

Apply Optigard Ant Gel Bait to areas where ants trail, forage and nest, as well as on structures where ants are observed and at any points of entry into the structure. Placements may also be made to areas which are potential sources of moisture, including soffits, eaves, weep holes and where pipes and wires enter the structure.

Optigard Ant Gel Bait can be applied using the syringe applicator or a bait injector. Apply Optigard Ant Gel Bait in cracks, crevices, corners and out of the way places, such as under and behind kitchen appliances and baseboards, under sinks, around window and door frames, pipes and water heater and in the attic, crawl space and garage. Place multiple application spots of gel where ants are observed actively foraging or entering the structure. If the area to be treated has been recently treated with insecticide, thoroughly clean the area before applying this bait. Do not spray insecticide over gel as this may cause the bait to become repellent. Do not apply to areas that are routinely washed (such as countertops) as bait may be removed or diluted and spread onto the surface.

Place Optigard Ant Gel Bait on, into or adjacent to structures where ants are observed, adjacent to ant trails and to areas suspected of ant activity. Optimal locations for Optigard Ant Gel Bait placement are points of entry into the structure and areas with potential periods of high moisture such as: soffits, eaves, weep holes, and where pipes and wires enter the structure. Exposure to direct sunlight, extreme heat or cold and water may reduce length of bait effectiveness. Optigard Ant Gel Bait may also be placed outdoors into refillable tamper resistant bait stations. Close tamper resistant stations securely after application. During follow-up visits inspect placements and reapply Optigard Ant Gel Bait as needed.

Food/Feed Handling Establishments Use:

Food/feed areas include areas for receiving, storage, packing (canning, bottling, wrapping, boxing), preparing edible waste storage, and enclosed processing systems (mills, dairies, edible oils, syrups). Serving areas are also considered a food/feed area when food is exposed and facility is in operation.
