Powered Temp-Vent - Foundation Vent Model: TVHPS6
For homes that require a higher rate of airflow, the Power Temp Vent is the ideal choice. Powered vents are quick, convenient and economical when it comes to controlling moisture and odor problems. Air is suctioned out of the crawl space and replaced with fresh outside air. Negative pressure helps prevent dampness and odor from rising into living areas of the home.

Calculating how many foundation vents are needed:
Example: 1500 sq/ft crawl space x 3 feet high = 4500 cu/ft x 6 = 27,400 / 7,200 = 3.74. Thus, install 4 power vents with intake vents on the opposite side.
Totally enclosed motor feature a 3-prong plug and is 0.017 HP rated for continuous operation. UL recognized and CSA certified.
Power vents should be placed on one side of the house with non-powered vents that act as intake vents on the other sides.
A Thermostat should be used to turn the fan off in freezing weather to protect pipes under the home and save energy. A Humidistat should also be connected to the fan to control the operation of the vent. A damp weather shut-off humidistat will turn the unit off when it's raining outside.
A Duct System is available that attaches to a powered foundation vent to provide targeted ventilation in hard to reach areas.

first thing they did is installed a crawl space fan. It was a power crawl space vent. After that I was totally free of my mold problems.

Q. What type of fan blades
Are they round or cilindrical
A. Unfortunately, we are unsure of how to answer this questions. However, we know that the fan inside are three fan louvers. So it is like a regular fan.

Q. Your series 6 vent fan how much noise does it make? Have read reviews that some of these make a lot of noise. Also do you need a dry area to mount the humastat and tem control? Thanks
A. It would be best to place the humidistat and the thermostat on a dry area. The series 6 vents do make a noise, but not loud enough to wake up the neighborhood.

Q. power vent Part
Need to replace the electric motor in your power vent model no. 5ksm84dfk101s serial no. nwfk Can I paid for it & have you ship it? Thanks
A. Thank you for contacting us with your question. However, upon contacting the manufacturer of the power vents, we were unfortunately notified that the electric motors are not sold separately. We were told that the customer would need to purchase a new vent if there were to be any irregularity with the original vent or the motor.

Q. replacement motor for Crawl Space Vent
I am trying to find a replacement motor for the crawlspace vent Ipurchased from you several years ago. It is a GE 3000 rpm 1/70 hp motor. Can you help?

Q. powered crawl space vent
I was looking at this product vhps61. My house is on pillars and the crawl space below has too much moisture! Trying to fix the problem. Found these powered vents that you offer. How much success have people had with them for this particular purpose? My house is 26 x 48 with a 2 foot crawl space. How do I know the fan will put out enough air power to do the job? I had recently purchased two small blower fans and placed them under there but after a couple of weeks, the moisture in some places was still 20%. I need to step it up a notch. Please recommend something that will help me fix this problem. Thank you for your help.
A. Thank you for contacting us with your questions and/or concerns. The powered temp vents will be effective for that exact purpose. We also recommend that you do a moisture barrier as you use the power temp vents

Q. powered temp-vent series 6
Hi, thanks for responding regarding the powered temp vents. Along with using the vapor barrier, is it also recommended that I close up the other vents that i have on the home? or should i leave them alone?

It does not make much of a difference if you leave them on or not. You can continue normal usage of the vents indoors. I
