Talstar PL Granular Insecticide - 25 lbs.
Talstar PL Granular is different from Talstar EZ it has an unique sand core granular structure. It is a lot finer then the EZ. Talstar PL release its chemical through out time as it rains. Talstar PL can be used to treat not only residential but commercial and recreation centers as well. Once the Talstar PL is inside soil it will protect by killing the pest as well as preventing pest problems. For lawn areas the application of the Talstar PL can last 2- 3 mos. One recommendation is to use a form of handle spreader to evenly spread the granular.
Useful Tips You Should Know: Do not exceed 0.2lb of Talstar PL per acre in residential use, and 0.4lb of Talstar PL per acre in commercial use.
Avoid using in commercial greenhouses or areas where grass is grown for seeds. Safe around non targeted animals.

General Information of Talstar PL Granular Insecticide Talstar PL granular has a sand core granular structure that penetrates mulch with no odor and no watering needed. It's heavy and dust-free so it won't drift off target. And it remains on the soil surface so it's effective even after irrigation or rainfall. Labeled for a broad spectrum of perimeter pests, Talstar PL granular controls everything from fleas, ticks and flies to mosquitoes, mites and millipedes. Talstar PL granular provides two to four months of effective, long-term residual protection. Low application rates make it an excellent, cost-effective choice for building and foundation perimeters. Put an end to fire ant colonies fast. The Talstar PL granular program is proven to eliminate dangerous fire ant invaders within 24 hours. For quick and reliable colony control and long-term protection against reinfestation of invading fire ants, combine a mound treatment with a broadcast application of Talstar PL granular.
To ensure optimum control, irrigate the treated area with up to 0.1 inches of water immediately after application to activate (release from the granule) the insecticide.

This product is a very fine granular material and it is a little difficult to regulate with a general broadcast spreader.
Applied a month ago, watered it in (rained) and so far so good - don't see any more evidence of ant nests anywhere on the lawn. Can't complain about that! How long the effectiveness lasts remains to be seen.

Talstar Granules was reccommended by a friend. It certainly works as advertized. during my initial yard application I spotted a Black Widow in it's web. I tossed some granules on the spider, but not enough to cover it. In just a few minutes I noticed it seemed to have trouble moving, in less than 15 minutes it was dead.

My garden used to bloom beautiful flowers but ever since Leafhoppers and worms stared to infest it, it did not grow even a single plant. I was so frustrated and used every type of insecticide I could just to kill those pests. But it was unsuccessful. Until I used Talstar PL Granular. It was the best and the most effective solution. The pests are now gone and the flowers are starting to bloom again. I’m very thankful to this product.

Q. What is time period to let dogs out after application?
once the granules have been applied how long should you wait before children and pets can walk on treated area? Do you have to wet the granules after spreader application and then wait until dry to let children and pets out?
A. Once you spread the granule, it is best to irrigate it with water so that you can increase the speed of activation. After you irrigate it, give it ample time to dry. Once the granules are completely dry and activated, it is okay for reentry for both your children and pets.

Q. Talstar PL Granular
I think i like to try that granule product. But i'm not sure it is ok with my dogs. Do you think it is safe for the dogs to play with it? They might bite it and what else. In your website, there are lots of insecticide for flea but I don't know which one to get. I even check some of them, reading what their description says but some of them are not ok to use here in California. By the way, are those GRANULE products better than those concentrated ones? I mean those that need to be mix with water. Please let me know.
A. The Talstar PL is a granular that is registered in CA and also has fleas listed as a target pest on the product label. It is alright for reentry by children, pets, and yourself after the granule has activated. We recommend that you wait an entire 24 hours before you let your dogs back out on the lawn. Also, for outdoor control, granules will be better on the lawn because it will provide a longer residual time. The concentrated insecticides that you dilute with water and spray provide a residual of about 2-3 months outside, but granules will provided a longer residual at 3-4 months.

Q. How much to use
I asked this question yesterday and have yet to racieve a reply.Your add states to use 1.25 lbs of talstar per acre but the description states to not use more than 0.2 lbs per acre for residential use. I am planning on purchasing this product for control of mole crickits but need to know how much to use. Thanks and i am looking forward to hearing from you.
A. For mole cricket control, use 2.3-4.6 lbs per 1000 sq. ft. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.

Q. can talstar be used on indoor carpet for fleas
A. Granulars are to be used outdoors only. We recommend using Fenvastar Plus to spray the carpet indoors for fleas. Fenvastar has a residual of about 30 days. For fleas, we also recommend vacumming everyday.
