Q. BUY BEE TRAPS
If I come by the store, do you have the bee traps?
A. We do have the bee traps in stock. The prices will be the same as our PESTMALL.com prices sales tax. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. Do you carry a product called "Brian's Bee Butter"?
Do you carry a product called "Brian's Bee Butter"? I know that you carry his carpenter bee trap. Please advise.
A. Unfortunately we do not carry Brian's Bee Butter. However, we do have an alternative to the product. Onslaught is a capsulated liquid concentrate insecticide that will continue to kill for about 2-3 months. Delta dust is another alternative product and is moisture-proof.
Q. Carpenter Bee Trap instructions
Is the internal bottle open at the internal end? Do you then screw on the other bottle to the end of the internal bottle? This makes a long series of bottles, over a foot. Some instructions with the unit would be helpful. Maybe you could send me some instruction.
A.
There is an opening between the two plastic bottles. Carpenter bees are naturally attracted to bare wood such as the one on the carpenter bee trap. When one of the bees become stuck in the trap, the bee will release pheromones to attract other bees.
It is recommended that you place the trap in a sunny area. No other chemical insecticides are necessary to use.
Q. with the trap is the first bottle cut in half how exactly do they get trapped into bottle. fantastic idea I just want to make sure I know how it works for purchasing
A. The bottle is attached to the open end of wooden trap. There are no large enough holes for the bees to escape from so they will naturally enter the large opening into the water bottle. The holes carved into the wood have been mindfully carved in an angle so that the bees will not be able to find their way back out. When inside the trap, the carpenter bees will naturally travel towards the light source which will lead them into the bottom of the trap.
Q. Should the roof of the trap be sealed or painted to prevent the plywood from coming apart?
A. No, it should be left as it is. The natural wood is what initially draws the bees to this trap. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. CARPENTER BEE TRAP PRODUCT
I DON'T KNOW IF I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG BUT SINCE I PURCHASED YOUR CARPENTER BEE TRAP PRODUCT I HAVE ONLY TRAPPED ONE BORE BEE AND 2 WASPS. I HUNG ONE TRAP UP BY THE EAVE ON MY PORCH WHERE THE CARPENTER BEES SEEM TO BE THE MOST AND THEY DON'T SEEM TO WORK. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? WE HAVE (HAD) A SEVERE CASE OF CARPENTER BEES..MY HUSBAND HAS KILLED AROUND 90 WITH JUST A BBADMITTON RACKET. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO MAKE THESE BEE TRAPS WORK BETTER.
A. To optimize the effectiveness of the carpenter bee trap, it is helpful to hang the traps along the sunny sides of the house. If you do have carpenter bees which were killed recently, you may place one or two in the bottle of the trap. The bees give off a pheromone that will attract other bees as well.
Q. Can I use a larger bottle?
Do you think it would be an issue if I were to use a 2 liter bottle for example? I figure this way I don't have to touch it for the whole summer. In addition, I've seen some people use juice or a sweet soft drink in their traps. Do you think that would help attract bees? Have you seen your traps catch yellow jackets as well? Thanks for your time.
A. As long as the top of the bottle fits, you should be able to use a 2 liter bottle. In addition, when there are carpenter bees trapped inside the bottle, the bees release a phermone that naturally attracts other bees.
I do not think the traps catch yellow jackets.
Q. carpenter bee trap product suggestion
I recently received your Carpenter Bee Trap. When I went to attach the water bottle to the coupler, it didn't screw on. Just didn't fit. I got another bottle, cut a hole in the cap and replaced the coupler...no problem but I would suggest you do a simple quality control check before you ship the trap to be sure the lower bottle fits on the coupler. Everything else is fine and I'm looking to capturing those pesty bees. All's well that ends well
A. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. It is not our intention to send you an inefficient product. However, we do want to thank you for your business. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. Carpenter Bees Traps-1 Trap

A. We actually do not carry bee butter. However, we have a product called Delta dust that has the same effectiveness. The dust is moisture proof and has a long residual of about 3-4 months
Q. Carpenter bees traps.

A. Are you speaking of the Carpenter Bee traps? The traps are most effective on the sunny sides of the house. the traps should be effective after a couple more days.
