Q. Roaches
I moved in this apartment and the pest control company can't get rid of the roaches in my apartment. I know I see at least more than six a day. What do I do? I think they are german and I have horrible allergies to these critters. Apartment people are in denial with the bug problem. I bleach everything everyday and walls to keep them out.
A. We do not think that bleach will help you long term to keep the roaches out. The product we recommend is Dupont Advion Roach Bait gel and bait stations to get rid of German Roaches. Baits are the best way to target the nest without physically finding them.
Q. Which kit is best
I am needing to treat my whole house and have seen them on my carport area in storage on it so would like to prevent them from entering in also. Which kit be best for approx. 1500 sq ft it's 3 bedroom/1 bath home, infestation bad! Also, does anyone of it work with bed bug? Because also having to do that too.
A. Either the Roaches Control Basic Kit or Roach Control Kit would work best in targeting both roaches and bed bugs.
Q. what are the best steps to get rid on a major infestation?
i have a problem that is pretty much going to cause me to move unless i can gain control on the roaches. i live in an aparment bulding with a superinterndent that does not want to take control of the situation, which is forcing me to take matters in my own hand. the problem is pretty sevre in my observation of the situation. i have recently seen in a room, approx 30 roachs climbing all over the wall, the largest reaching 1/2 inch in length. so to my question, what would be the best method to eliminate my problem.
A. Unfortunately, in apartment complexes, all units must be proactive in treatment or it will be difficult to control the problem. Indoor, we typically recommend bait gels or bait stations. In the wall void, we recommend applying a dust like Delta Dust or Alpine Dust. Outdoors, we recommend a residual spray. Q. multiple species infestation problem
I have American, German, and Oriental roach species infesting my home. I've tried several products-the roaches just seem to come out, check out the product, and go home. I see more roaches everytime I use any product. I need roach baits that are effective against all three. Which of the bait products would be most effective? Are their formulations stronger than those seen in the average home depot?
A. We recommend the Dupont Advion Roach Bait that has a higher percentage of the active ingredient in the products found at a local hardware store. It can be applied indoors. Outdoors though, we recommend a contact kill insecticide like Cy-Kick CS. This is a concentrated product that must be diluted in water before application. You should apply the spray around the entire perimeter of the house including the entire base of the structure as well as window and door frames. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. roaches control product
would like to order something for my problem of roaches, but im not sure which product i need.
A. For
roach infestations in a residence the
Dupont Advion Cockroach bait gel would be the best product to use.
However in a commercial area the best product to use would be Orthene with Gentrol IGR.
The reason Orthene is not recommended for residential areas is because of its very strong smell. If the pesticide were to come in contact with the carpeting area the smell will linger in that area for a longer time. Most commercial facilities have tiled floors therefore the smell does not linger for a long period of time.
The gentrol IGR is an insect growth regulator. When you use both products together it will have both a killing effect and a means of prevention because the Gentrol IGR will help control their numbers.
In a residential home bait gels are most recommended because of its clean finish and method of kill.
Once the cockroach consumes the bait, it will eventually die through a method of consumption. Roaches eat one another for a source of protein when they die. Therefore thats how the secondary poison will spread.
The most common roaches in the kitchen or bathroom area is most likely going to be German roaches. German roaches like to live 3-5 feet from a water source.
They live inside the wall void area therefore roach gels would have the best effect in getting rid of the whole colony.
Q. how can i prevent roaches from entering my apartment?
my brother recently found a roach near my front door. we havent been any where for us to bring home roaches and nobody has spent the night. this is the first roach we have seen. what product can i use to prevent me seeing more.
A. Unfortunately, there is no real preventative for roaches, especially inside apartment complexes. Roach control will depend on the species. If you have large, outdoor roaches, we recommend having the outside sprayed. If you live in upper levels of the apartment building and have a balcony, spray the exterior of the balcony and the outside of the front. We also recommend spraying the baseboards, windowsills, and doorframes with insecticide. All treated areas must be avoided until the treatment has completely dried. The product we recommend is Suspend SC. If you have indoor roaches, we recommend gel baits like Dupont Advion Roach Gel Bait. Apply it under cabinets, under the sinks, behind toilets, and etc. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. how to get rid of roaches
lived in kona hawaii apt by ocean for 8 weeks, only tonight i found 3 big roaches in my place. What am i doing wrong and how do i get rid of them? could they have been in my moving boxes? how fast will they lay eggs, do the electronics work?
A. We are unsure of what electronics you are inquiring about, however, we know that the moving boxes may have housed the roaches. This is a possibility but it is not a sure origin of the roaches. We recommend using gel baits like the Dupont Advion Roach Gel Bait or the Maxforce FC Roach Gel Bait in areas like underneath cabinets, behind appliances like the stove, refrigerator, and even the laundry machines. We also recommend using them under the sinks and behind toilets. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. do you ship to Canada
A. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship any chemicals to Canada.
Q. do they eventually die how long
A. In order for us to better assist you, we do need to know the target pest you are inquiring about. Please be more specific.
Q. How long will it take for american roaches to infest my house?
We purchased a used refrigerator yesterday. This morning I noticed a dead baby roach in the freezer. I moved the fridge and saw another crawling out away from the back. I am certain there is a nest inside the fridge. How long does it take for them to move out of the old nest and establish new nests in my house? I have put out some maxforce gel bait, and sprayed the base board behind the fridge.
A. American roaches usually nest outdoors and occasionally forage indoors in search for food. If the roaches came with your refrigerator, they are most likely going to be German roaches. It sounds like you have already taken the necessary measures to control the roach infestation. Good luck!
