Q. What recommended products for roach control are for sale in NY?
A.   Most of the roach baits that can be found on the roach baits page (http://www.pestmall.com/roach-bait/) can be sent to NY. Unfortunately, most insecticides or liquid sprays and other insecticide materials cannot be sent to NY. If you have a question about a specific insecticide and its restrictions, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-788-4142.

Q. Best method for killing Oriental Roaches that are outdoors
We see 1-2 roaches a night on our deck in the warmer months. I had 2 exterminators come out and after 1 told us that they were wood roaches another told us that they were oriental roaches. I am thinking they are oriental roaches because some things the first exterminator told us don't sound right. Either way - we have "outdoor" roaches nesting somewhere around our back deck. There is dirt/mud and straw that the builder left under our deck and I am thinking about treating that space under our deck. We also have 2 small dogs that love going/being outside and although they cannot get directly under the deck due to lattice, they are in the surrounding area on a regular basis. Knowing we have 2 dogs and want to treat under our deck where it is dark/wet would you recommend an insecticide spray solution or a granular solution (and I did already put some gel bait under our grill on a piece of cardboard)? Or would you recommend something completely different?
A.   You mentioned earlier of the straws that are underneath the deck that the builders left. The straws will keep moisture underneath the deck which will attract more insects in that area. If you can remove the straws from underneath your deck it will help you keep the insect population to a minimum in those areas. As far as application goes, you can use either the liquid or granular underneath the deck. Both products will reveal positive results in exterminating the roaches. Its hard for us to pin point which product will be best for your situation but I can help list some pros and cons for the two different applications. Hopefully this will allow you to narrow down your options and choose a treatment method which may work best for your surrounding area. First off, granular application may be easier to spread underneath the deck area. The moisture underneath the deck will also help the insecticide absorb into the ground. Liquid applications may be harder to reach certain areas or angles underneath the deck. However liquid can be easily applied to both horizontal and vertical areas (such as posts that help support and hold up the deck). For both the liquid and the granular products I would keep the pets out of the area for 24 hours which will provide more than enough dry time for the chemicals. You can use gel baits along with the contact insecticides, bug they will not last last long outdoors compared to the liquid or granular insecticides. I hope this helped... Good luck!

Q. shelf life on roach spray, bait, powder, gel
A.   It really depends on the product. Sprays, baits, and gels usually have about 1-2 years and powders usually have an indefinite shelf life. All products should be stored in cool, dry places.

Q. which one to mix with disinfectant spray
I live in a building with a compactor chute. We throw our garbage down at the bottom we have an automatic disinfectant container and spray. I would like to know which roach spray is the best and can be mixed with this. We need something strong.
A.   Unfortunately, we do not carry any insecticides that are labeled to be mixed with a disinfectant. All of our roach killing insecticides must be diluted in water before application. Also, depending on the species, baiting may work better than sprays. If you are looking for an insecticide though, we recommend Suspend SC for a concentrate to spray. For baits, we recommend the Dupont Advion Roach Bait Gel.

Q. i sprayed my whole house with talsar pro will it get rid of my roaches
A.   Usually, indoor control for indoor German roaches requires much more spot treatment with a bait like Dupont Advion Roach Bait Gel than a broadcast treatment with a contact kill insecticide. The Talstar Pro will kill the roaches on contact; however, you may not be able to reach the nest with just a contact kill product. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
